The two kika stores in Bucharest will become XXXLutz stores until the start of the year 2021. The two kika stores belonged to Signa Group, the Austrian investment company specializing in retail and real estate, which sold in 2019 the 22 kika stores in Central and Eastern Europe to XXXLUTZ, the second largest European furniture retailer. Thus, the transaction also included the 2 kika stores in Romania, located in Bucharest, which will be rebranded in XXXLUTZ.
HORNBACH
Hornbach, one of the main local retailers of building and gardening materials, has kept the traditions and, for the 13th year consecutively, has announced the opening of the Christmas Fair in the seven stores that it owns in Romania.
JYSK
JYSK, the Scandinavian retailer of furniture and products for home, started the offers for Black Friday on 12th of November 2020. The retailer opened the 92nd store in Turda. The retailer opened the 93rd store in Calarasi. With an increase of the market share and the EBIT, JYSK Romania succeeded to obtain record result in the financial year 2019-2020, despite of the coronavirus pandemic.
IKEA
IKEA announced on 10th of November 2020 the launch of Green Friday campaign in Romania, as part of the new global initiative of the company to promote and develop the circular services and sustainable consumption. The retailer launched also a campaign against domestic violence „A safe home is a better home”, as a response to the escalation of this social problem on the pandemic fond.
Brico Dépôt
Each employee of Brico Dépôt Romania, part of Kingfisher group, international campaign of home improvement, has the occasion to become shareholder of the mother company, a step that he had to make until 20th of November 2020. The retailer registered increasing sales in Romania with 10,6% in the third quarter of the financial year 2020/2021.
Mobexpert
Mobexpert, leader on the Romanian market of furniture and decorations, started the sales for Black Friday on 12th of November 2020.
Vivre
Vivre, the main online retailer of furniture and decorations in Romania and Eastern Europe, ran the Black Friday campaign. At the final of the Black Friday campaign, Vivre has registered over 10.5 millions euro and almost 300.000 of products ordered.
Bonami
This year, Bonami, the store that sells furniture and decorations online, awaited for Black Friday sales of 2.5 millions euro, from which 20%, 500.000 euro on the Romanian market.
