Hornbach, one of the main local retailers of constructions and gardening materials, extended on the Romanian market and announced the opening of the 8th store, at Cluj-Napoca, after an investment of 27 millions euro. Located on a plot of 4.1 ha, the new store has an area of about 23,000 square meters. Hornbach’s total investments in Romania reach 202.2 million euros.
We talked with Frédéric Lamy, CEO Leroy Merlin Romania, about local gardening market and he confirmed that, also at global level, the gardening market in the most part has two main directions: cultivating plants and outdoor relaxing. The DIY retailer also announced in july that all its portfolio of products is available in the online store, with delivery in all the country.
JYSK, the Scandinavian retail of furniture and products for home, opened on 22nd of July two new stores and reached a network of 103 units in Romania. The retailer focused a lot on the terrace sets side, where it developed a lot the range of products, in the last 3 years.
