In the context of COVID-19, mömax, the retailer from Austria, respected the ordinances of the national authorities and temporary closed the two stores from Timisoara and Oradea, until the situation becomes under control and the isolation period at home will end.

Leroy Merlin

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic in Romania, Auchan Retail Romania and Leroy Merlin Romania, the second player on the local DIY market, with the support of the Ministry of Health and of the Department of Emergency Situations, started to organize a hospital center for noncritical persons. The Association „Zi de Bine”, founded by Melania Medeleanu and Luciana Zaharia, joined the project started by Auchan Retail Romania and Leroy Merlin to support the efforts of fundraising necessary to arrange the first medical support unit in Bucharest-Ilfov. The retailer reopened all its stores in the country on 8th of April, without the one in Suceava, in which there is not available the Reserve and Pick-up service.

JYSK

The emergency fund for hospitals created by JYSK Romania, of 150.000 lei, was used to equip 19 medical units in Romania, with products meant to help hospitals in the fight against coronavirus.

IKEA

IKEA equipped completely with 350 beds, mattresses, sheets, quilts, pillows, the kitchen of the medical staff, and also a series of products of small furniture of over 85.000 euro, for the first pre-hospital unit in Bucharest-Ilfov, an initiative of Auchan Retail Romania and Leroy Merlin. Also, the retailer announced that will increase the government grant for its employees in technical unemployment, so the affected ones of the temporary closer of Baneasa and Pallady stores will get 90% of the monthly salary.

Homelux

In the desire to join the common effort of prevention and fight against COVID-19 in Romania, Omer Susli, the owner of Homelux store network, donated to the County Clinical Hospital „Sf. Apostol Andrei” from Constanta, a mechanical ventilation device.

Dedeman

Dedeman, national leader in construction materials and interior improvement retail, with 100% romanian capital, installed photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of 28 stores in the country.

Hornbach
