In 2015, for the third consecutive year, Dedeman has been the leader of the most powerful local companies, conducted by Coface Romania for Biz Magazine. Curently, Dedeman operates 45 stores in Romania and is the leader of romanian DIY market, in 2016 the turnover exceeded 1 billion euros.
IKEA Romania
IKEA Romania will open its second store in Romania at the end of 2018, in east of Bucharest. The second IKEA store in Romania will have an area of about 37,000 square meters and will contribute to the creation of 300 jobs, following an investment of 80 million euros – representing the cumulative value of the land and construction.
PIATRAONLINE
ROCK STAR CONSTRUCT company, which operates under the brand PIATRAONLINE.RO, first online store dedicated exclusively to natural stone in Romania, ending 2016 with a turnover of over 5 million euros, and the 2017 estimate increases of over 40%.
PPG Europe BV takes DEUTEK SA
The Competition Council has authorized the transaction by which PPG Europe BV takes over the company DEUTEK SA, after the end of November 2016, the Competition Authority announced assessment of the concentration in terms of its compatibility with a normal competitive environment, in accordance with Regulation authorizing the merger. DEUTEK SA is a company active in the production and marketing of paints and dyes.

BricoRetail.ro magazine and Institute of Export and International Cooperation of Israel Economic Mission of the Embassy of Israel in Bucharest organized on 22 and 23 February 2017 in Bucharest, the first edition of the event Israel DIY Road Show, a B2B event dedicated to market DIY and Home Improvement in Romania.
