Praktiker Bulgaria, owned by Videolux Holding company, reopened the store from Tsarigradsko Blvd., in Sofia, under a new concept. The new store have a bigger sales area, an expanded range and a new vision.
On May 9 was the official opening of the fully renovated Praktiker store in Tsarigradsko Blvd., in Sofia. „This is the nicest, largest and most ecological Praktiker store from the entire network, because we have made it quite energy-efficient. In less than six months, from that dark, shabby and warehouse building, we managed to achieve this bright and modern look of the store „, Todor Belchev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Videolux Holding.
The new and renovated store opens its doors to its clients in a completely reconstructed and modernized building, expanded by nearly 3,500 square meters. Now, the total retail space is more than 7,800 square meters and the result is a bright, spacious and welcoming store with a new and more functional staff that helps users easily explore and discover what they need.
Praktiker Tsarigradsko opens with a significantly richer assortment – over 50 thousand products. A new underground level has been built, which provides additional warehouse space to the commercial site. Consumers will also be able to benefit from a free parking with 280 parking spaces.
The reconstruction of Praktiker Tsarigradsko store is part of a long-term strategy for renovation and modernization of all stores in the chain in Bulgaria.

Praktiker is a former german DIY & home & garden chain. On the bulgarian market it started in 2004 and for a short time it was one of the leading chains that develop this sector in the country. For 10 years, Praktiker builds 12 stores – two in Sofia and one in Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Rousse, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Sumen, Vratsa, Yambol and Veliko Tarnovo.
In 2014 the bulgarian company Videolux Holding, owner of the IT &C & technology retail division, acquires the whole business of Praktiker for Bulgaria. The company launched a consistent modernization and an upgrade of all Praktiker stores and a selection of more convenient locations for some of them. In 2017 Praktiker opens two new hypermarkets in two new cities – Yambol and Shumen. And now in Vratsa, the 12th store in the country.
