LEROY MERLIN, part of french Adeo Group and one of the major retailer on the worldwide DIY market, opened on August 16, 2018, the 60th Leroy Merlin store in Poland, on Tarnów at Błonie. It is the fourth Leroy Merlin store in Lesser, Poland and the largest shopping center in Tarnów with 11,000 sq m.
The general offer for the customers contains over 66.000 products – 36.000 available in stock and 30.000 to order in online store. Leroy Merlin distinguishes itself from other Tarnów DIY stores with the sales surface and width of the assortment and the wide range of the Garden Department, which due to the convenience of shopping has been divided into internal and external parts, and also has the largest selection of goods in the region.
In addition to shopping, customers can also take advantage of many services that facilitate repairs – transport of purchases (including the large one) along with carrying, cutting plates, cutting holes in sinks, testing tools or turning radiators. Leroy Merlin employees also support clients in creating cost estimates and 3D kitchen and bathroom designs. The store also provides the Click & Collect services consisting in prior reservation of goods via the website www.leroymerlin.pl and collection of the order in the store. Customers can also complete their online shopping and use the home delivery service.
„In Tarnów there are many blocks of flats and single-family houses. Therefore, we have chosen our offer so that every customer, regardless of the place of residence, will find the necessary items to furnish his interior – from building materials, products for decoration or garden plants. Our proposals for the arrangement of kitchens and bathrooms are based on the plans of nearby housing estates and single-family houses,” says Dariusz Grobecki, Director of the Leroy Merlin Store in Tarnów.
Over 130 people are working in Leroy Merlin store from Tarnów – the team consists mainly of the inhabitants of Tarnów and neighboring towns. Everyone receives a contract of employment, a social package, a share in the company’s profits, the possibility of joining employee shareholding, as well as a rich set of training – each employee of Leroy Merlin participates on average in 30 hours of training per year. In addition, the Customer Advisors are equipped with a smartphone with applications that support sales and significantly speed up the service.
