In august, JYSK will open 14 stores in Central and Eastern Europe

In august, JYSK, the scandinavian retailer of furniture and home decorations, will open several stores in all Europe, 14 of which will be open in Central and Eastern Europe in countries like: Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria and Poland.

 

In august, JYSK retailer will inaugurate 21 stores, in total. This is the complete openings calendar in august (left photo).

Also in August 2019, a new record is set for the most store openings on the same day as 11 stores will open on 29 August.

Expansion has been a main part of the DNA in JYSK ever since JYSK owner Lars Larsen opened the first store in Denmark in the city of Aarhus in 1979.

Since then the number of stores has grown from one to more than 2.800 units in 52 countries around the world providing customers with a great Scandinavian offer within sleeping and living. JYSK Group is formed by the 3 companies. In total, the companies have 2,724 stores, 23,000 employees across 51 countries. The turnover in the financial year 17/18 was 3.58 billion euro.
