In 2020, Homelux will open 3 to 4 new stores, and the cities targeted are Timisoara, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Brasov

Homelux, the company that sells home & deco and gardening products, with a network of 3 physical stores in Romania and an online store, ended 2019 with an increase beyond expectations, the year in which it opened a new store, the first in a smart format. The Homelux online store reached over 20,000 visits / day in 2019, and the average basket was 77 Euro.

The year 2019 was the first full year of operation of the online platform www.Homelux.ro. and the first 2 Homelux stores, located in Ploiești and Focșani. The results were good – retailer exceeded his estimates with a few digits, and the largest increase came from the online store.

In addition, Homelux managed in 2019 to open the third store, on December 05, 2019, in the DN1 Bucharest Value Center Shopping Center. This was the first Homelux store opened in Shop in Shop format, with a smaller area of 1,300 square meters.

In 2019, Homelux had 150,000 customers. The entire range of products has 10,000 items for home and garden, including modern ranges of furniture, decorations, home textiles, tableware, lighting fixtures. Th company created an omnichannel sales concept – the online store is growing continuously from January to December 2019, reaching over 20,000 visits / day, and the average basket was 77 Euro.

Expectations and plans for 2020?

„As we have seen in recent years, online sales will increase a lot, with a growth rate of over 30% from year to year.

In the next 4 to 5 years, we want to open up to 20 stores. Surely this year we will open 3 to 4 new stores. We target the big cities in the country such as Timișoara, Iași, Cluj, Constanța, Brașov, etc.” said Omer Susli, the owner of Homelux.

Omer Susli is the former owner of Praktiker stores, in Romania, acquired in 2017 by the british group Kingfisher. The first 2 Homelux stores were opened instead of 2 former Praktiker stores, in Ploiesti and Focsani, after the network restructuring.
