Miroslaw Huczek was appointed General Manager of Praktiker Romania since March this year. The retailer has increased the budget allocated to store remodeling process: from 400,000 euros to 600,000 euros for each remodeled store, which involves improving the initial concept.
Dedeman
Dedeman, a national leader in retail of construction materials and interior design, with 100% Romanian capital, celebrates this year 25 years of existence. Dedeman will open, in april, the 46th store in Romania, in Bucharest. This will be the biggest DIY store in Romania.
LEROY MERLIN
LEROY MERLIN, one of the largest DIY retailer in the world and one of the leading DIY retailer in Romania announces the end of collaborations with companies that do not have certification of sustainability FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).
Arabesque
Arabesque, the leading provider of building materials and finishes in Romania, opened, in Iasi city, the first store under the brand Mathäus, anew DIY retail brand dedicated to individual customers.
JYSK România
JYSK Romania, one of the largest retailers of furniture, decoration and home textiles in Europe, part of Scandinavian JYSK Nordic, has opened its first two stores this year, Vaslui and Craiova, the national network reaching 41 units.
Brico Dépôt România
Brico Dépôt Romania, part of the British group Kingfisher, achieved in financial year 2016/17 breakeven (breakeven), after 4 years on the market in Romania, when it took over the store network Bricostore, according to financial results of the British group .
After Hornbach and Leroy Merlin, also Brico Dépôt stopped sourcing timber products coming from Austrian manufacturer Holzindustrie Schweighofer.
